School leadership and management is designed to incorporate consultation and collaboration with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
Working in partnership with parents to provide the best educational experience for St. Margaret’s students is important to our School. The Parents and Friends Association plays a key role in assisting the School to create a friendly and caring environment for parents as well as students.
The School Board and the Parents and Friends’ Association have been structured so that all classes across the school have representation on both groups. This allows for greater interaction between parents as two-way communication is more localised and conducted by parents known to each other. This model aims to provide parents with a greater opportunity to be informed and potentially share their wisdom and opinions about issues under consideration.
We aim to promote a school community where life long learning and individuals are valued as leaders in their own educational setting. In order to develop this consultative process students are involved in the following Student Leadership positions: School Captains, Sports Captains, Environmental Saviour's, Community Arts Leadership and Social Justice.
